Practice a little mindfulness to supercharge your focus
Let’s generate a little awareness!
Hopefully, each day you make time to eat lunch to nourish your body and fuel your mind. How mindful are you when eating lunch? Perhaps you eat on the run, or sit and eat whilst flicking through social media or the news or perhaps you take the bare minimum time to get something to eat and keep on working!
Just for one day, try eating lunch outside (hopefully in the sun) in the fresh air and practice eating mindfully.
What does that mean?
It means, simply eating your food, no phone, no multi-tasking, just purely sitting and taking the time to chew your food as you watch the world go by. As you do this you will become more aware of things that are always there yet you fail to notice. The feeling of the wind on your face, the warmth of the sun, the chirping of the birds and so on.
Give it a go and notice how it makes you feel.
Sometimes the best thing we can do when ‘busy’ is to actually stop, to shift the energy and reset your mind.
A moment of calm is all it takes to supercharge your focus.
