More is better right? Actually no! Doing more, seeking more and being more only creates a void for more that needs to be filled. And often in the pursuit of more people rarely stop to consider if their actions and choices are leading them in the best direction. They simply focus on doing doing doing like a mouse on a wheel oblivious to the fact they aren’t actually getting anywhere whilst feeling exhausted for their effort.
Taking time to stop and do nothing will help you achieve more in the long run. It will help you focus on what matters and you will require less time to complete the same activity. Scheduling time to think, to rest, to breathe, to stop is a common practice of the most productive, successful people.
Time reflecting on what you’re doing, how you’re doing it, what’s working, what is not working, responses and results you’re getting and so on helps you to make the necessary corrective action earlier rather than getting too ahead of yourself requiring a bigger and more drastic corrective action later.
